Miraco Metal Shield is a specialized protective coating designed for automotive metal surfaces, particularly wheel rims. The coating provides hydrophobic performance, helping water bead and move away from the treated metal surface. This water-repellent effect can help reduce the amount of moisture and contaminants that remain on the surface, supporting easier maintenance and cleaner-looking wheels.
Miraco Metal Shield also features anti-fouling properties, helping reduce the adhesion of dirt and contaminants. Combined with UV and weather resistance, the coating provides protection against regular environmental exposure, making it suitable for wheels and other compatible automotive metal components.
Unlike coatings designed to create a specific high-gloss or coloured appearance, Miraco Metal Shield provides a transparent coating, allowing the original finish and appearance of the metal surface to remain visible. It is specifically formulated for metal substrates and is suitable for professional automotive detailing applications.
The product uses a layered application method and has a relatively short curing time of approximately 20–30 minutes, making it practical for detailing workflows where efficient application and curing are important. Proper cleaning and preparation of the metal surface before application are recommended to achieve consistent coverage and coating performance.
